Steve C. Taylor, Esq.
Steve is the founder and lead litigation counsel for Alliance Law.
As lead litigation counsel, his focus is on managing the firm as well as overseeing all bankruptcy and Personal Injury cases.
Steve is a graduate of George Mason University of Law, and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1990. He has represented clients before the United States Supreme Court as well as at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and is a member of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern and Western Districts.
Steve also is the Director of Christian Rights Ministries, a faith-based ministry that defends and preserves God-given Inalienable Rights by advocating for the constitiutional rights of individuals and organizations.
As a Kingdom Lawyer, Steve has partnered as an Allied Attorney and Honor Guard with the Alliance Defending Freedom since 2002. Steve is a Participating Attorney with Liberty Counsel and an Affiliated Attorney with the Rutherford Institute.
Additionally, Steve is senior Pastor at Trinity Christian Church of Suffolk, Virginia; has attained a master’s degree in biblical studies and his doctorate in ministry. He is the creator of Last Days News, (www.lastdaysnews.com), a podcast and radio program that analyzes news and current events through a biblical lens. Steve is passionate about sharing Jesus Christ and His redeeming grace and daily strives to walk closer with Him.
David W. Cassidy, Esq.
David joined Alliance Law in 2015 and has been a member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar for over 20 years.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, cum laude, from Saint Leo College and Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from The Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit School of Law.
Prior to joining Alliance Law, David spent 8 years with the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission where he gained extensive experience in the area of criminal defense.
L. Carter Budwell III, Esq.
Carter joined Alliance Law in 2017 after graduating cum laude from Regent University School of Law. It was while working with issues related to religious freedom during law school, that Carter developed a deep passion for protecting the Divine and Constitutional right of individuals to live their lives in accordance with their religious beliefs.
Prior to attending law school, Carter worked for more than three years as a missionary with Youth With A Mission Strategic Frontiers.
A native of Colorado, Carter enjoys hiking, skiing, fishing, and following the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.
Kenneth E. Goolsby, Esq.
Kenny Goolsby has been practicing law in the Hampton Roads area since 2013. While initially practicing mostly in the area of family law, he found his passion was in helping individuals with financial stress find relief. His practice primarily focuses on helping individuals achieve financial freedom through the opportunities available under the United States Bankruptcy Code.
Mr. Goolsby has filed over 2,000 bankruptcy cases in his career, successfully representing individuals in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings en route to a fresh financial start.
Mr. Goolsby is originally from Gainesville, Georgia, but moved to Hampton Roads immediately upon graduation from law school. He earned his law degree in 2013 from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, where he served as an editor on the Richmond Journal of Law and the Public Interest. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Boston University in 2009.
Mr. Goolsby, and his wife, Darah, have a daughter, and two Boston Terriers and live in Chesapeake, VA.
